The new display industry is one of my country’s most internationally competitive and leading industries, ranking first in the world in terms of market size and shipment volume. Among them, Sichuan’s new display industry manufacturing, led by Chengdu, has become an important display industry base in the world and the largest flexible panel base in the country. It has gathered more than 40 leading companies in the display industry and ranks third in the country in terms of display panel shipments. The output value accounts for 24% of the country’s total.

On October 28, the third season of “Tianfu Craftsman” – a large-scale skills challenge integrated media program came to the National Ultra-HD Video Innovation Center, Sichuan’s first national manufacturing innovation center located in Tianfu Changdao Digital Cultural and Creative Park. , started the third season of field recording focusing on the theme of the new display industry.

In today’s recording of “Tianfu Craftsman”, four challenge companies each brought a challenge project. Among them, Wu Qingfu, co-founder of Chengdu First Technology Co., Ltd., designed a challenge called “Groping in the Dark”. In this challenge, two challengers have to cover their eyes for the entire process within a 30-minute time limit and face numerous distractions to accurately retrieve the required eight precision optical films from the fish tank. Since the Sanhu Cichlid ornamental fish with a relatively violent temperament has been stocked in the fish tank in advance, this fish has a strong sense of territory. Once it finds someone intruding, it will attack its skin. The challenger needs to overcome the “attack” of the fish to complete the first step. One level.

The challenge brought by Song Xiaomin, deputy director of the National Ultra-HD Video Innovation Center, is called “Capturing Wind and Shadows.” The challenge requires two teams to develop software for drone tracking functions for intelligent tracking gimbal cameras within a one-month preparation period. After the development is completed, challengers need to use cameras equipped with functions developed by their respective teams to track and capture three drones in real time within 10 minutes. At the same time, they need to focus and recognize the Chinese character information on the drones as quickly as possible in the shortest time. The side will be considered the winner. Challenge winners will receive the valuable opportunity to work in the AI R&D laboratory of the National Ultra-HD Video Innovation Center.

Chengdu craftsman Hu Yingru of Chengdu Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd. proposed a challenge called “No Fear of Extreme Cold”. Challengers need to go through multiple tests: first, they need to select materials according to on-site conditions to light up the designated screen; if there is an abnormality on the screen, they need to analyze the cause and solve the problem within 20 minutes. Then, the repaired screen is placed in a low-temperature furnace to ensure that it can still display normally after two hours. The final challenge is to extend the product’s ultimate operating temperature to -50°C by optimizing the peripheral drive circuit without changing the internal design of the screen. This series of difficult operations requires challengers to have extremely high professional qualities.

The challenge title jointly designed by Hu Jianmin, general manager of Chengdu Chuanshi Technology Co., Ltd. and Yang Tao, chief technical expert, is “Condensing Light into a Torch”. In the challenge, the two challengers need to use high-precision machine tools and injection molding equipment to accurately process and produce Fresnel lenses that meet specific specifications. Then, the processed lens is used to focus the light into a “torch” and ignite the designated object. The challenger who ignites it first will win the game.
